voodoo donut store is in Eugene.
The original location of the Voodoo don’t make it anymore.
The Wall of Voodoo restaurant and bar has closed, with its former owner, George G. and Barbara J. Schulz, telling the Eugene Register-Guard the store will close in June.
They were unable to give details on the closing, but said they are no longer selling donuts.
“We’ve made a decision that it’s time for us to move on and we’re very excited about that,” Schulz said.
“It’s a very happy place and a very good place for customers and great location.
But that is no longer the case.”
“It’s time to move forward,” said owner George G., of the Wall of vamps and donut shop in Eugene, in a statement released to the Register-Gazette.
“We will continue to offer the best service and quality of products.
We appreciate all of our customers and want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years.”
The Wall’s former owners, who have been with the Eugene-based restaurant and bartending business for more than a decade, said in a Facebook post Thursday that the store had been “a wonderful home.”
The couple, who moved from New Orleans to Eugene in 2004, said the store was “a place where I felt comfortable in my own skin, a place where my kids were safe, a family-friendly place.
It was a place of family, and I love that it still is.”
This is the third time the Schulzs have closed the restaurant.
In January, they closed the store in the middle of the night.
“It was a difficult decision to make,” Barbara Schulz told the Register on Thursday.
“But it was the right one.”
She said she was not sure when the store would reopen.
“We have been looking forward to the day that we could reopen,” she said.
The Schulz’s business model has been changing over the past several years.
They moved from the original location in Eugene to an adjacent building in Eugene in 2014.
But in December 2016, they reopened the old location and it closed after a year.
After moving to Eugene, they had a second location in Oakland.
But the Oakland location was demolished in April.
The Schulz family moved back to Eugene.
Eugene was named “Best Neighborhood in America” by the U.S. Census in 2016, and its population has grown to more than 2,100.
Schulz and Barbara Schulzen are the last owners of the Eugene restaurant and have been the partners of Eugene-area bar and restaurant owner George C. and Martha A. Schuli since 2013.
